The Joy and Creation of Mere Mortals

In the beginning, God created the perfect world at once, and that was the end of creation. The world is complete under the wisdom of God, and therefore it does not change. In perfect harmony, in perfect equilibrium, it stands perfectly still. The world appears to be changing because of the limitations of human intelligence.

God created mankind as imperfect beings. Therefore, human society is full of all kinds of imperfections, which on one hand are falsity, evil, ugliness, sorrow, and suffering, but on the other hand are truth, good, beauty, joy, and pleasure. And all imperfect things are scheduled for perfection under God’s providence, and that harmony will be realized on the last day of humanity.

The perfect is logically complete. Thus, when God with His complete wisdom knows one thing, He instantly knows everything. Even with the imperfect intellect of humans, if we know one part of a logical system, we can grasp the whole of the system after repeated efforts of deduction upon deduction.

The systems of mathematics and natural science were conceived as such and developed as such. Social sciences such as economics, history, sociology, and law were also conceived and developed as such as efforts to discover the logic hidden in imperfect and illogical human behavior.

However, even if man aspires to perfection, we as mere mortals cannot attain perfection. Even if the last day of humanity is the closest to perfection, there is no human meaning beyond, since perfection is a state in which there can be no further change, only complete stillness, deadly boredom, and deathly silence.

Rather, the significance of God creating man as imperfect should be important. There is dynamism because of imperfection, goodness behind evil, happiness behind misery, joy behind sorrow, logic behind contradiction, and beauty behind ugliness. And then there are creations only capable by humans. Human creation is not true creation because it is scheduled by God, but it is creation for imperfect humans who have no knowledge of God’s schedule.
